yabbity dabbity dooooooo!

came here to see if I'm alive.....just being silly!  how are you?????

i am baking banana bread, finished making Sara's birthday cookies......tired, happy to sit!

it's very very pretty outside......spring is blooming all over Georgia!  bruce is supposed to come either today or tomorrow to mow and clean up fallen limbs.  stella let me know she's been under the weather again......this time she went to a specialist for help.  she's had recurring sinus issues several times of late and thinks the antibiotics aren't the best solution at this point.  i get that totally......

i'm eating a sandwich on white bread, makes me feel like a little iid.  i EAT the crusts, i never was anti crust.....my mother told all of us early on that eating the crusts created pretty curls......gotta love the pursuasion tactics of moms....when they're kind of course.  the easter tree, thus named as it was planted on Easter morning......has tiny lavendar buds all over it's limbs.  ahhhhhh........the tree is almost four feet tall now.....it's wittle.....it will be little soon.........when you see it standing by the gigantic oaks it really is just a baby!  the irises, tulips, azaleas........roses......and more are all budding and about to bloom........pretty things happening at Sparrow Cottage!

this sunday we celebrate my daughter's birthday......we're all going to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens.  yayyyyyyyyy!  sara will pick me up at high noon, then we'll head back to her home to meet up with hubby Derian, brother Sam and her Dad with his wife.  Derian's parents may join us, not sure.........after we enjoy the gardens we plan to go to dinner together. 

i have Sara's present sitting on the table......i hope she will like it!  i got a crazy fluffy soft throw blanket in ocean blue.......and matching towels.  Big towels, hand towels and washcloths, then I added a bracelet I made......some hand cream, a small bottle of cologne....and a big bottle of Meyer's Lemon dish soap.......they come in such cute bottles!  Added jelly beans and Merci chocolates.  I haven't gotten to buy a present for anyone since ??? Maybe last July for Sam probably.........I found two silvery baskets and put the items inside....it looks soft and glamorous.  Much more glamorous than I am.......one of the sales clerks at TJ Maxx looked at my basket and told me I had "the touch".....much better than if she had said she thought I was touched....giggle, giggle! 

I found a cute card at walmart.......it says something like how my favorite stories begins the day she was born, it's sweet and sentimental......i added a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson, "Scatter Joy"...........in the old days I would have individually wrapped up each thing, but I don't have the fuel to manage it.  I put the shopping bags over the presents so you can't see everything and hope she will forgive me for the lack of wrapping paper.  Sad thing is I have all that wrapping stuff and the tissue paper.......but we gotta pick and choose our battles. 

I laid out a skirt and top for Sunday......a pair of sandals.  I may change my mind and wear capris and tennies instead.....but the top will definitely be going!  It's a peasant top in shades of white, pink and red......tiny little flowers.  Very happy and springlike!  It's my new favorite........feel like a kid cause i'd like to wear it everyday!

I ate my sandwich all up!  Took some pain meds......the pain is rapidly climbing, will have to spend the rest of the day chilling out.  Doing zippity doo day.......maybe a hot shower first?  maybe.......I wish the hair fairies would come do my hair for sunday......that's the hardest thing to deal with.......my arms and shoulders are not working very well and that creates styling issues for this girl.  i can always put it in a pony tail, but it's a vanity thing ......to do my hair all purty when i get to see the kids.  silly and true.

the end.........i'm chattering like a magpie.  the banana bread is smelling goooooood!  i couldn't smell the cookies at all and wondered if my smeller was broken.  guess not......just needed a stronger scent than baking cookies.  i have 16 tiny plants, each daffodil sits in a one cup pot of dirt......gonna see if i can get bruce to plant them in the front garden bed.  crossing my fingers that he will help me with it......he's also going to try to fix the door in my kitchen.  there is a bi-fold door in between the kitchen and the laundry room, for reasons unknown to me it keeps popping off it's track.  hope it's a fairly simple fix.......the cats race through the house, hit that door, it falls off the track again and slowly opens up and just sort of limply hangs there looking so defeated...........sigh. 

so many times i wish i had the magical powers of Samantha Steven's Bewitched Nose.......I just started watching stuff on youtube......i like carpool karaoke.......guess cause i sang for so many years.  hugs, later........stay sweet!
