Wrote this the other day
I had a family friend who would always bicker with her husband. It was like their sport.
When he died she said to me "I don't have someone to fight with."
It is kind of coming to me with journey with mental health that it is natural
to have some amped up feelings. We're animals/human and need to get out
our natural 'go go' energy. I am grateful for my job and its physicality.
My boss, is a blowhard, but a really good person. She just likes to bark
orders and we all scramble laughing around her. I think when I don't have
a focus for my day - I tend to dip into rumination or anxiety - like subconsciously
choosing that activity because I still have the go go energy that needs to go somewhere.

barking is sooooooooo much more efficient than playing mommy. however hard i try to be a good mommy to the people i am in charge of, i keep guessing wrong and gaining new respect for just how diverse mommies are.
my charges laughing while they scramble around me is a good sign. it means i kept my barking tones efficient rather than hostile. then i go home and balance all that go-go efficiency before it slithers into rumination or anxiety.
thanks arfita!
