Wrestling with notions and wants

I read this article and found this passage. Maybe I’ve begun to minister to myself?

“It’s plausible that clergy, through their constant work of helping others cope, develop a heightened ability to contextualize their own struggles,” she said. “By guiding parishioners through difficult times, clergy may acquire valuable skills and insights that buffer their own well-being.”

I wonder if in the process of becoming healthier here
at the monastery - it's showing me the things I also
want in my life - and maybe in the process of ministering
to myself - I might need to mourn or accept that
I can't have everything I would hope to have in life?
Or maybe in fact strive to get those things somehow?

I don’t know.
