Working on the foundation
If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them. ~Henry David Thoreau, Walden, 1854 This quote has been a favorite of mine for years. It was on my classroom wall in 8th grade and I never forgot it. I've always been a dreamer and a few times I've put the work into achieving the dream. Now I have a new dream. I really really want this bookstore in the city where my boyfriend lives. It would be a big job just to get it... I haven't written a business plan in 15 years but I know I can do it. I have a good head on my shoulders and I talked to the girl who works in the store on Sunday. I'll need to learn to do the books but the owners said they'd provide any training I need. I really feel like its doable and I want it so bad... its like a dream come true for me. I have the dream now I have to organize myself to put the foundation under it. Maybe working on somehting that I want so bad will help get me out of these doldrums I'm in. I'm sad again today and I shouldn't be... I have to go home today I know that's the problem but home shouldnt' be a bad place to go.
