today I've woken up to a few things,
what's more I have realized that "NOT HAVING PLANS ON MY DAYS OFF"
is bad for my mental health.
I know I need time to rest -
and also time to take care of Blue and the household,
but having things planned is also really important.
It is what it is I am realizing,
growth.

I'll be blunt, part of what kills me about mental health struggles is
the fact that I don't know how to manage myself so well - and there always seems
to be a challenge I come up against - and then I feel a failure for not
knowing what to do with myself -
but perhaps with practice.....
i can take a look at myself and circumstances and
just know I've got to adjust myself and provide healthy stuff-
like my brother said to me "We all have our ups and downs"..."It's never one and done."
I am very much seeing the ups and downs that are happening and I am adjusting. Not feeling well is ok. I know why it’s happening, I don’t have enough happening or planned here to keep my energies moving. I’m watching tv and waiting for my laundry to dry, it’s not a big thing it’s just a dull day at home but so it goes. I go back to work tomorrow.
I can’t seem to express this so well but I’m keeping aware and that feels like a victory and so I’ll just keep on keeping on:)
Big hug sweetie..... I'm sorry that you're struggling..... Would it help you to make a list of things you'd like to do before your days off come... Like maybe Thursday eve think about things that you'd like to do
I'm so good at chillin .... I love to read....... Maybe once everything is open again... I'm not sure if it is there or not what about volunteering again on one of your days off?
Thanks Jan. I really appreciate it. Good ideas! I get so stressed out from the distress at times that I tend to shut down but I think you’re right. If I make Thursday night my scheduling time for the weekend that probably would be a good step forward. I’ve been sitting here watching Bloomberg Technology (technology business news) and the enthusiasm is something that I used to be a part of and I am no longer able to be a part of. As I write it now I am kind of getting a healthy distance from it. I will make plans that are good for me. Thanks Jan!
Really amazing. I have started to see during these struggles that my mind goes for thinking a bout moving to the monastery. It’s like it represents to me ‘the other’ or my life relationship but also in realizing this I know that I want a partner more and understanding that will bring a life too.
