woke up and...
woke up this morning and it was a depressing start to the day.....but then I got showered, dressed
and wrote a note to someone - and then got myself out the door to get a coffee.
My mind after focusing on myself then came to remember that sometimes we all
may have a common experience in a depressing start to the day.
It really helped to get up and get out the door.
I go back to work on Thursday. Looking forward to it.
Have a good morning and a good day out there!! Let's be there for each other!!
peace!

I know that Mondays can be hard for the best of us...and also during this time of COVID too it's all really unsettling.
I will focus on finding something to do today that I can take pride in. A good long walk may be it!!!
Just came in from a walk...don't know why I am some lost today but I will try the old adage "please yourself!" I find that when I am highly connected with others I lose myself - but that's normal I think... perhaps it's like that Mary Oliver saying
"Love yourself, then forget it and then Love the world." The walk was nice - I will go for another pretty soon." It's sunny
with blue skies and birds are singing their feathers off. So it beckons! Sending good vibes out there!!
Ahhh sounds nice! Weather here is cold and grey ......
thanks Sensitive!
It is a politically sensitive theory, but I hold that our brain's pleasure centers are as hard-wired to the survival instincts as fear and anxiety. If ^it^ is good for you, ^it^ smells, tastes, sounds, looks and/or feels good, as well. Good health **feels** good. Alas, the psycho snot knot comes out of the fact that so many of us are socially conditioned to think of things which make us sick, over-eating, substance abuse, sadism, etc., as "feeling good." When I look closer into my own self-destruct compulsions, I build a solid belief that the cultural we is confusing "less bad" with "feeling good." Taking a smoke break doesn't "feel good." It feels "less bad" than sitting in the office listening to water cooler magi reviewing their strictly personal prejudices and solutions for the evils of the world.
Just a theoretical opine. . . Strictly personal.
I also theorate that small solutions, such as taking a walk to help myself over an anxiety attack, are the quickest route to mending the proverbial "Big Picture." Take care of the little things and the Big Picture is already tended.
Thanks Arfie! That reminds me of Warren Buffet's saying... take care of the pennies and the dollars take care of themselves. :)
