Within Reach
This is the piece I painted for a district art competition with the prompt, "Within Reach". I posted it online and it blew up somehow, too, with over a thousand upvotes! A lot of people expressed their interpretations and feelings about this piece, and while I honestly don't think it came from anywhere deep inside me, I must say that I always had a fear of wells.
The first thing I thought of when I saw the prompt was what is definitely, without a doubt, out of reach? Guess I'm a bit funny that way, haha.

Oh my gosh, this is amazing! I absolutely love it! It seems to me like the person is reaching for a childhood that is gone. Or I could be totally off base. I'm no art expert. But I think it is so poignant. I hope it gets even more well known. It deserves to be out and known. Much love.
