Wishing Y'all A Happy Day of Giving Thanks.....

Happy Thanksgiving!
Hey Y'all!
Wish you a wonderful loving safe Thanksgiving however you spend it.........!
Tomorrow Debbie comes to clean, at some point I will make squash casserole or squash dressing........not sure which one, but I've got the stuff to make either one.
After the Saturday plumbing ordeal and then trying to keep up with the kids during the SausageBall Bake-Athon wore me out.  I slept Sunday night, all day Monday and all Monday night.
Missed my first class entirely........too sick/exhausted to care.  Next week will try again.

Woke today feeling blechhhhh..........then around 4 went to get fresh squash.  There wasn't any......the store was all sold out.  WHOA..........are all the old ladies in a tri county area making squash dishes this year?  Trippy!
Luckily I found some fresh frozen squash..........two bags left.  While I was in the check out line I heard about lots of things the store was out of.  Cream cheese in particular, egg nog, rosemary, poultry seasoning, there's more but i forget..........bummmmmmer!  Noticed they had enough idaho potatoes to feed the army, air force, navy and marines but no sQUAsh, or as my daughter calls it SQUISH!
I so appreciate the hugs and comments from the other day...........I love all y'all so much.  My head is throbbing, my body hurts and I am dizzy as all heck.  Wondering if can I cook tonight, then give the body a full 24 hours so I make it to family Thanksgving....?  or just rest this evening and then try to cook the squash tomorrow.  the good news is that i don't have to slice it up, trying to see the good......
pray it will be so..........the plumber cost just over $500. that is a lot of plummmmmmbing.  hurts, but ya gotta have a terlet........(was it archie or edith bunker who called it a terlet????)
love, sparrow
p.s. i saw santa out of uniform in wal mart tonight.........long curly silver hair and a really long full silver beard. he was wearing overalls, a plaid shirt and big black round toed boots.  you should have seen the kids pointing............he really looked like santa.
right before went to turn into my neighborhood there was a huge single file group of bicyclists coming down the road..........my jaw dropped and i stared like a little kid!  bike after bike after bike after bike........they had lots of lighting rigged to their bikes.........it was very pretty, sort of surreal to come upon this big group all lit up rolling along in the inky dark blue night sky..............
God willing I will get to send you notes and hugs on Friday........this is my goal of the week!
Happy Thanksgiving!

I loved the use of your colors for your Thanksgiving journal Serce!
I wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving. May it be joyful and loving.
I think that was so cool about seeing those bicyclist! Here where I live is a big bicycle city.
Your squash stuffing sounds really good. I so don\'t like to shop for food around the holidays as it is so busy! So Santa was out and about. Probably just being among his peeps before the big Holiday you know. :o)
I hope you get to feeling a bit better and rested. Don\'t forget to save some turkey for your kitties. Mine said to remind you of that!! and greenies

I\'m so sorry that the plumbing thing was so expensive. I do pray that the money comes in somehow. Your squash recipes sounds great! I\'ll be over tomorrow for dinner. Love you. Heather.

EWE! Plumbing is always a disaster!! And if you have to call them out on the weekend, or as an emergency, they hike up their rates! WHY DO THEY DO THIS! I mean, in reality, we could poop in a hole in the yard! Seriously! UGH!

Ok, I must admit I\'ve never had squish, um squash.....but I\'d probably like it! I love green vegies, but I love turnips!! SO, maybe I should try some of your squash cassarole!! Step out of my comfort zone of chocolate everything! LOL!

Happy Thanksgiving Ruthie! I hope you got enough sleep those two days you zoned out. We seem to need to do that sometimes.

Lord bless ya! xo

The only kind of squash I have ever eaten is acorn squash, which takes a lot of strength to cut open. It\'s pretty tasty though, because I used to load it up with brown sugar. I hope you were able to prepare your \"squish\" casserole and make it to the Thanksgiving gathering without too much pain and fatigue. I am still feeling crummy on Saturday night after all of the holiday \"doings\", but it was worth it to have family and good food at the same time. I am sorry you had to spend $500 on the plumber. I spent $200 just to get a bathroom faucet replaced. Clearly I made the wrong career choice when I was young. LOL

I\'ve only seen people sitting around a table celebrating thanksgiving in the moooovies. So you are just like movie stars to little old me way down under. I did read this journal a few days back and actually thought I had left one of my amazing comments already. Now I\'m late and the carnival is over , missed the sparrow boat and lost for words. I have eaten squash...not my favorite veg..but yep not bad.Squash sauce is a new one .Thank goodness your terlet was fixed. We call them toilets here.ha ha . I\'m in bed sick and bored out of my tiny coconut. Also it\'s troppo season so watch out lol!! My air con is on all night as it is so hot but being in bed all day with it on is really going to pump up the powerbill. Money doesn\'t stretch so far these days.Sorry about your plumbing bill too.Going going gone.Oops still here sorry.Love you Ruthie xoxo
