Wise choice

Going to elderly aunt's yesterday was a wise choice.  It kept me from fretting about things I should be doing.  I'm still out of it, but today am going to try a bit of desk work sprinkled with housework.  Probably will go see GP just so she knows where I am at and we can decide how to handle a crisis this weekend if I decline further.  I am not a pretty sight.  Maybe some steroids are in order.  The problem with 12 hour nights sleep is that I woke up often enough to know I was not getting much better.  I have mentioned before that patience is not one of my virtues.  I do not want to put motives on God, but it has crossed my mind that its the lesson he wants learned.

I had a conversation, with a fellow DS\'er, the other day. We were talking about
How, for many of us? MG and its nasty sidekicks - sneak up on us, very slowly. (Other people get slammed hard, and slammed rapidly too.)
When you are slowly, relentlessly - hemmed into a walled-off area: called \'\'this is your life now\'\'. That? Is not only - hard to accept? But it is also - hard to recognize, what is happening
A lot of these postings, on our support group? They tell us: don\'t push yourself. Save your energy, for those things you must do, and for those things that bring you happiness. (My friend with MS, calls this \'\'energy-management\'\'!) It sounds like you already realize this. Rest, rest, rest! (Any time, that I crossed over my personal \'\'energy line\'\'? I ended up - in the hospital.)
Good for you! Keep in touch with all your doctors. It took 4 different Neuros, and several years - before I was correctly diagnosed. Now I have meds - AND - changes in lifestyle - that keep me on the right path. It took a long time, for family & friends - to catch up. But they are there, now (and - none more so? Than the granddaughters! Amazing.)

Debbie, I will be praying for you my friend. I agreed with Ross, that you must never push yourself too hard and you must rest. There is a balance and I myself am stilling learning what that balance is. Love ya,
Cathy

Debbie, hon, please take my advise and slow down. Right now the most important thing is YOUR health. Overdoing things can and will bring on a crisis. You don\'t have too much longer till you see your neuro in Milwaukee. Hopefully he will be able to help you. Take care my friend.
