Winding down
Just one more little thing and the semester is done. So far, all A's and I'm proud. It's just that I can feel the winding down, like it will be hard to muster thru the last little moment. It's been busy, but feeling it's not all getting done :). I have been having a lot of honest moments with myself. I haven't slept enough. I keep rewriting my response to my brother as I try to sleep. It is like the culmination of the semester, of the N, of my childhood has come to this moment. A moment of realization, I think. Of coming into my own. It's a bit like it all fell into place. I confronted myself in ways I never have before, allowed the truth. I confronted childhood, along with my brother's bitterness, I somehow found my peace. I confronted the N reappearing and even though pings of this and that do linger, saw he no longer had any power.
I am reminded a bit of the very first anthropology lecture. It doesn't matter if a tree falling in the forest makes a sound or not, it only matters if someone is there to give meaning to it happening.
This is where I am. Ready...for a new semester, new chapters and new meanings.

My step sister has an interesting answer for the tree falling in the woods riddle....She says it doesnt matter if it makes a sound either, the important thing we know is IT FELL.
I think she means hindsight is twenty-twenty and that events happen and we need to accept them first before we can do anything about it
I think you\'ve been accepting a lot, letting go of a lot.... You\'ve grown just in the last few months and its awesome!
Take care of yourself and hope the rest of the semester goes smoothly!

way cool on almost being done with the semester. congrats!! on the good grades & all the efforts you made!
looking truth in the face can be scary...the unknown, scary too. so very happy that you have found much more inner peace and are ready for all sorts of new beginnings & chapters. i think, no matter how far we go or get away from them, twinges will still pop up out of the blue for us. hopefully, theyll be good reminders of how far we have come.
for sure, wishing you all the very best with all your new journeys, chapters and all else!!
always in kindness........aik
There is absolutely no better lesson then knowing he has no power
