why aren't I 'out there'

I am not punishing myself. I feel though I get the most satisfication out of life when I am making important

connections with others. I am not jewish - but a gal who lives here at the 'board and care' is. I know she feels isolated.

She isolates herself and spends most of the day in bed. I found the following clip and I read it to her.

It perked her up a little bit :):

Today is the death anniversary of the Baal Shem Tov, who was born around 1700. Here’s one of the many sayings attributed to him: “The world is new to us every morning — and every man should believe he is reborn each day.” And another: “Whenever feeling downcast, each person should remember, ‘For my sake, the entire world was created.’”

I think since the advent of online support and facebook I have grown increasingly more connected to the world in terms of cyber

relationships rather than going 'out there' and coexisting with the community. I think I will do some volunteer work. Part of me

wants to bring people relief like I did with my housemate today but I think connection comes in all shapes and sizes. So some days

will be different than others. :) Peace!
