Whirlwind

It has been a little while since I last wrote. Work has been going well. I've been working the past two weeks. Nothing to extraordinary has happened in that aspect of my life just working really hard to learn everything and care for my patients. One of my patients did pass away and it was hard, But I know that she is in God's hands now and is no more pain. It is hard to loose someone, death is never fun and having someone pass away is never a pleasant experience but I know it is a part of life. This weekend has been a whirlwind of emotions. My boyfriend and his family went out of state for a car show and HE WON FIRST PLACE in his division! I am so proud of him he worked so hard on his car! Unforchantly the celebration was cut short. On the way home from the show were were driving and my dad and sister passed us on the highway, miles and miles from our house/ where I thought both of them were. She called me and said," you need to come with us get off at the next exit." My heart started to beat so fast, I started having racing thoughts of why they would be this far from home. All I could muttle out was, "somethings wrong." I thought my mom was dead or something happened to one of the kids, IDK what to think at this point. We pulled over and I got in there car, my dad asked, " do you have your license?"  and then it hit me, my sister is in the front seat crying and he is steady as can be. Something happened to her. OH YES IT DID. We take off down the road in the opposite direction. I ask in the most stern voice I have ever heard come out of my mouth, "WHAT HAPPENED?" She begins to sob and tell me. It turns out she was going to a concert with her boyfriend, his brother and two other friends. She wasn't supposed to drive but for some reason she drove. They got the the place and started tailgating a cop came over saw she was underage, it was her car so... SHE GOT ARRESTED. They arrested her for transporting alcohol under the age of 21. AWESOME. I knew her choice would land her in trouble. She is going to loose her license and get a fine and a record. The worst part in all of this is she tried to lie about things. She twisted details to look better when she told my parents. She told me a different story and of course I told my mom what she told me. It is just all a big mess, I tried to talk to her and tried to relate what happened to what I have been through but she still is not listening. I knew she would get in trouble some way or another I told her, we always get caught, karma doesnt let deeds go unpunished. Well God is karma, he knew she needed this wake up call I just hope she answers it. She is heading down a bad road. I have been there, and I just hope that she doesn;t have to learn the lessons of life the way I had to. I don't wish my gut wrenching guilt on anyone. My heart sunk when I heard she was arrested. How could she be so stupid. bringing alcohol to a concert. I know she was drinking too, but she didn't have to tell me. They didn't arrest her for that but it doesnt matter. She knows she was wrong. I just hope it sinks in and she re-evaluates everything.
