WHERE DOES THE TIME GO?
This is a picture of the beach at Isla Roatan. The island is owned by Honduras but Carnival bought part of it and spent 60 million dollars putting in the pier and building a shopping area and beach. It was absolutely beautiful!! I have not been on here much but I have been occupied with a myriad of other things that eat up the time. Yesterday, I decided it was time to do a thorough cleaning of the upstairs. You know the kind where you pull out the bed and all the other furniture. Can anyone tell me where do all those huge dust bunnies come from??? I am a clean freak and I just don’t get it. Needless to say that my day was spent cleaning. I will do the same thing downstairs between today and Monday morning. I like to have a clean house before I go away. Speaking of going away, it is only 5 days away. I was concerned about a possible delay in the trip due to the horrible disaster in Haiti and the Dominican is where we are going. I would not have been surprised if our travel plans were changed but as of this moment everything is a go. I must say that I feel guilty going off to Hispanolia when part of the island is devastated and people are dying and suffering. What a horrific thing to happen anywhere but to a nation already in crisis it is even worse!! Well, I am going to say so long for now. I hope that I can get back on here this week at least once. If not, then I hope everyone keeps well.Debbie

I am glad that the vacation is in the near future and wasn\'t at the time the earthquake happened. I know how you feel about feeling guilty and helpless to help the poor Haitian people, I think we all do. They have so little to begin with and now they are in so much trouble. Thankfully, the water has arrived and the soldiers to help distribute water and food contributions. Many famous people have donated money for tent hospitals and medical supplies. There is really nothing we can do personally except pray for them.
In case you don\'t get on again, I want to wish you a wonderful, peaceful and relaxing vacation. And don\'t overdo the housework beforehand... dust bunnies come out of the air, I think, and will always be there no matter how hard we work at getting rid of them, so don\'t bother too much trying to get rid of them...for every one you remove, ten more spring up.....LOL or at least it seems like it!
Take care!
Susanne
It\'s the sprites, they come out at night while you are sleeping and pick up all the pet hair and carpet pile and make dust bunnies just like we make snow men. What can I say? They are buzy and boy do they make giant ones at our house!!!!
Doesn\'t snufles know it is the sandman, I will have to tell her. So on your mark, get set, go. I am the same way about cleaning before I go anywhere. I actually do a run through at the last minute. I don\'t want to come home to anything but dust bunnies. If I don\'t talk to you before have a great time and as usual I am jealous. Love Naomi xo
Honey if you ever figure out where those monster dust bunnies come from I will mount an active campaign to eliminate them at their source...course in my house I know where they come from, all the critters who are laying around me snoring and shedding like crazy even though the outside temps have been in low teens and single digits..
I\'m also starting a new round of cleaning but it\'s more of an emotional journey of letting go and preparing for when it will bee time to move on.
I hope all goes well for your trip it must be hard to think of going to that reigon with all the pain and sufferring going on there now, don\'t let it overwhelm your ability to enjoy yourself, you have earned a break. Hugs
