When time seems to stand still (alone time)
It's a quiet day of services and laundry here.
I had the sense, when back in my cell/room, that
everything I was supposed to take care of was done,
and everything that I could afford to do financially was
also covered in terms of abstemiousness from spending.
I was lying on my bed, waiting for the load of laundry to beĀ
complete and I just felt I had NO OPTIONS for what to think
of doing with myself or with my time in my room. Blue was lying
at my feet.Time stood still because I was frozen in my tracks. But then I struggled
with it - and went down to the laundry room in the basement
and I sat there waiting for the end of the cycle. I thought about
how we all have to deal with our alone time - those moments
in between social contact or work or just plain shared time.
I got the sense of normality from that. Of commonality
and interdependence too. Things are good.
Have a great rest of the day folks! (HUG)
