When it rains, it pours
So last Friday, my Mom called my sister to say she was in the hospital after going to the ER with chest "pressure". I left right after I found out to be with her. I spent the weekend with her in the hospital, and today she underwent open heart surgery to do 4 bypass grafts. She'll be in the hospital for about a week, and then a nursing home for rehab. My sister is with her now, as I had some training I had to be at for work.
Tomorrow is the 6 month anniversary of my Dad's death.
And all I know is that God is faithful, that He is sovereign and will never leave me nor forsake me. I'm thankful that my Mom paid attention to her symptoms, and sought out medical help! I'm thankful I only live a few hours away and could go to be with her immediately after I fournd out. And I'm thankful she has a dear friend that was able to bring her in to the ER on Friday! And I'm thankful that I have a terrific group of friends both her on DS and in my community that will pray for the many requests that I've got! And I'm thankful that my hubby is well enough to be independent without too much trouble, thankful for my 17 year old daughter's help, and my ability to ignore the household chores that just don't get done.
Hoping tomorrow is an okay day for my mom, but I know it will be tough.
