When in the company of others

When you're in the company of others can it feel at times that your personal pursuits and avocations, if they become exposed, take a hit...like they face peer pressure? Then when you're back home alone you've got to find your boogie again?

Part of your comparing and measuring up thing, don’t you think? Sometimes I think people just like to have opinions and express them. Or are you sure you aren’t just reading into things more than others are actually perceiving them?

it's just how my feelings go - I am trying to be educated about my reactions - so depressed right now...
but I know if I start to feel that kind of sense of lack of personal value, I have got to pump myself up -
(like Hans and Franz hehe) My mind is really flexible and I take on peoples' energy a lot..It takes a lot to come
back to home/center.

thanks Nikki! That's a good aspect to think about though. I don't think I am comparing, I am just feeling like 'in the moment' of the group's
persuasion - but I know we've all got to be self responsible with things like this.

Put on your ´spiritual armor’ as a friend and I used to discuss working in crowds in an agressive city.

I am utterly convinced that is way more than a feeling. I can concede that my social anxiety exaggerates it immensely, but I am utterly convinced that exposing my ideas, et al, to others is guaranteed to mix and meddle my thought processes. Like anything else in life, that can be both good and bad. When a development is in its fragile stages, the meddlesome mixing confuses and often even derails the development. Then there are the stages when the development needs to try its wings in flight. Then the meddlesome mixing can provide the wind beneath the wings.
