When I know I have a hard day ahead of me,
It really helps to say a prayer in the morning before I do anything.
A prayer that followed me into the snow.
God, go first today. Put gentleness in my voice, steadiness in my hands, and peace in my choices.
Lord, today I choose to lean on You.
When fear rises, be my comfort.
When my strength feels small, be my courage.
Steady my mind.
Guide my choices.
Help me do the next right thing, quietly, faithfully, and without rushing.
Bless this home, bless those I love,
and let Your peace walk with me
step by step,
all day long.
Amen.
The day doesn’t have to drive you. You can drive the day....gently.
