What's Wrong With Me?

Tonight/this morning I catch myself thinking of the horrible thoughts to myself... "Just end it, don't listen to everyone. Stop fighting it! You really are the worthless piece of s*** he called you out to be" and I catch myself shaking with fear because I don't know what to do. I thought things were looking up for me! I've been seeing a counselor, got set up with a support group, living somewhere I will always know is safe, started a job today, and I just can't seem to let the positives of my life overcome these awful thoughts. My head is pounding, my heart is racing, and nothing can stop it. Nothing seems to be a trigger to this, but I just want to end it all! Everything anyone says means absolutly nothing at this point. All I hear is the demons in my head, all I feel laying next to me is his awful ghost grabbing me in my sleep again, and all I see are dark skies and no future for myself. I tear myself so far down that by the point I feel like I can talk to someone, I just find a way to hurt them because I still feel the fear that I will just hurt them more. This is why I don't want to keep fighting, I know that I'm just a pain for those around me! This is too much, someone please talk to me. Please tell me I'm wrong... Show me there's such thing as hope at this point.

Change is hard, even when the changes are for the better. The prejudices born of my own healing journey say there is nothing wrong with what you are feeling here, Brea. Some things are just plain hard and this is one of them. If change was easy, everybody would do ^it^. Be patient with the process and gentle with yourself.

Whether my personal prejudices resonate with what you are feeling, or not. . .

Sending healing hopes. Gentle support while you sort.
