What's happened to me? (1st entry)

Hi everyone who reads this.  I'm David if anybody wants to know.
At this point in time, I am about to wrap up my first semester at community college in pursuit of an AS in paralegal studies.  I also do some part-time work as a pharmacy technician to bring money in.
I've managed to do fine this semester in terms of grades, and the job really isn't that hard.  But emotionally I am paying a very high price.  I'm worrying or stressing about something almost every single day.  I don't think it has helped that the first couple of weeks of classes were messed up very badly by snowstorms.
These worries are really starting to get in my way.  When I started in January, I felt pretty good about going for the degree.  Today, I don't feel so good about it.  I try to hang on but it wasn't long before I started having sleeping problems, and the resulting loss of focus forced me to cut a stress management workshop that I felt I really had to attend.  I've also missed two class sessions because I couldn't stay awake, and I had never missed a class for non-legitimate reasons in my life before this year.
I had been hoping to take two or even three courses over the summer, but now that number is down to one.  It's not because I want to...it's because I have to.  Because if I stress out again like this in the fall, I'm probably going to give up because I know I will get nowhere if I can't manage my stress.
I've already blown 12 years of my life (school included) in a career I didn't want.  I don't want to see this crash out.  But I can't seem to handle even the tiniest bit of stress theses days, and so I am very scared.
