What makes you lose track of time?
my Stepmom gave me some topics to journal to when I went to visit her and my Dad today. She received these game cards
which have really reflective and inspiring conceptual questions to them. She gave me 7 cards out of the deck, one for each day of the coming
week. So the first question/card is: "What makes you lose track of time?"
I will look at this question in the spirit of 'what activity' - for me -, my illness can make me spin mentally for hours and hours and I do lose track of time whilst sitting in front of the TV - and yet I think I want to focus on, what kind of work and activity as I said above. What kind of thing gives me a sense of flow and harmony.
I think for me when I work at the market and I am just busy putting things together as 'my part' of the team in my section - and helping people - there's such a sense of flow about that.
I also, once I get started, have that experience with my new yoga class. It's hard work and sometimes I can't wait till it's over - but then also - the time goes by so quickly.
I also am thinking about moving on to something quite different in my life. I am not so religious - but I do like the solemnity and the spirit of the religious life - my friend is the Abbess of a monastery, and I feel myself drawn to go
and live there with her - helping the whole family of sisters and brothers run the place. Perhaps it's that common purpose nature of it that really draws me in. Anyways, this is what I am thinking about for now.

Sleep and cyberspace. I often think of both as time machines. Start on day one and wake up on day two or so.
I like surfing the Internet and listening to music.....
It is divine to have the world's music and libraries at my finger tips, but graphics and design work can suck me in for weeks or even months.
