What happened to the warm weather?? LOL

Hello, from the sandy shores of Isla Pasion in Cozumel, Mexico. This is where they film the corona beer commercials. It was 85*f and I was having a blast with a good Mexican meal, lots of good drinks, a super book, good company and a comfy bed. That was 2 weeks ago and today was a balmy (lol) -13*F here. Oh, Lordy, I hate the cold!!!  Needless to say we had a marvellous time. The ship was beautiful and I enjoyed all our ports of call. My least favourite was Belize, the poverty was so blatant, and it made me sad. I did enjoy seeing the Mayan ruins there but I would not go back again. I am too sensitive to this type of thing. Three weeks from tomorrow we are off to our All inclusive in Puerto Plata for a week. My first time doing an All inclusive. It will be interesting to see how I like it compared to cruising. At least it will be warm!!We had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends. It was filled with joy and laughter. Of course, there was a ton of food. At our annual Boxing Day feast we had 31 people!! The most we have ever had was 24. It is a good thing we made a lot because there was precious little for leftovers. I believe a good time was had by all. I was very pleased that with all the food on the cruise and over the holidays that I only gained 1.2 pounds. Now to diet and get rid of it and a bit more. For New Year’s Eve we are having friends over for takeout Chinese food and a movie. Just a nice quiet night to usher in the new year with good friends.I hope all of you have a joyous new year and that the year of 2010 will bring many good things for each and every one of my DS friends.Debbie

Love the pictures, keep sending out more, I have never taken a cruise or gone to anywhere warm other than Florida....I am living vicariously through you and your trips...LOL Love the sunshine pictures! YOu can have the cold, the winds were howling yesterday and last night. I was glad we didn\'t lose power here. I am having a stove and a heater installed that can run without electricity, they are propane but the stove isn\'t installed yet and the heater has to be inspected (tomorrow) before it can be started. I am hoping the heater will be running by tomorrow afternoon. The stove for the living room was wrong, the distributor sent the wrong kind so it had to be re-ordered. Maybe a week or so, before I get that in. We are expecting snow for the next few days so I hope I have at least the heater on. It is down in the basement so I am hoping my floors will be warmer, too.
well, sounds like fun on New Year\'s, quiet times with friends are the best. I am expecting to be home alone this year but have laid in a good supply of foods that I like and plan to stuff my face right into the New Year! I can use the weight, so it is a good thing.
Got to go, but wanted to say Happy New Year, Debbie!
Love,

LOVE THE PICTURE, NEVER SEEN A BEER COMMERCIAL SO WILL TAKE YOUR WORD ON THAT ONE BUT I\'D VOLENTEER TO BE IN ONE IF IT INCLUDED A CRUISE DOWN TO THE LOCATION, LOL
I ADORE MEXICAN FOOD, IT IS RIGHT UP THERE TIED FOR FIRST PLACE IN MY ALL TIME FAVORITE FOODS LIST NEXT TO CHINESE FOOD, BUT IF I HAD TO PICK JUST ONE THAT WOULD BE MY ONLY FOOD THE REST OF MY LIFE MEXICAN WOULD WIN OUT, TO MUCH COMFORT IN THAT TO PASS IT UP.
SO OFF ON ANOTHER CRUSE/TRIP AGAIN SO SOON? WOW YOU SURE ARE NOT GOING TO BE GETTING TO MUCH FROST BITE THIS WINTER ARE YOU.
HEY THAT WAS SO GREAT, NOT GAINING ANY REAL WEIGHT ON THAT TRIP INSPITE OF ALL THE WONDERFUL FOOD. I\'M FEELING PRETTY GREAT MYSELF ABOUT MAKING IT THROUGH THE HOLIDAYS WITH NO GAIN OR A WEE BIT OF LOSS...ONCE WE GET THROUGH NEW YEARS I\'M GOING TO REALLY WORK ON GETTING THAT WIEGHT OFF AND FIGURING OUT SOME WAY TO KEEP THINGS RELATIVELY FIRM, DO NOT WANT TO END UP LOOKING LIKE I HAVE BAT WINGS LIKE A FRIEND DID WHEN SHE LOST A WHOLE BUNCH OF WEIGHT, ID\' RATHER BE FAT THEN HAVE THAT DROOPING SKIN HANGING OFF ME, GROSS.

I am very jealous. I really loved the all inclusive in Cozumel. You don\'t have to leave if you don\'t want to. Where we were there was 5 restaurants, 4 pools and lots of handsome, oh never mind. Glad you had a good time and that your x-mas was good. I knew you had to be home and I didn\'t take into account how much you have to do when you get home from a trip, I just started freaking out. Once when snggls took a break I flipped and was searching the net for her. I mean some friends you just can\'t give up. Happy New Year. Love Naomi xo
