What happened to the warm weather?? LOL
Hello, from the sandy shores of Isla Pasion in Cozumel, Mexico. This is where they film the corona beer commercials. It was 85*f and I was having a blast with a good Mexican meal, lots of good drinks, a super book, good company and a comfy bed. That was 2 weeks ago and today was a balmy (lol) -13*F here. Oh, Lordy, I hate the cold!!! Needless to say we had a marvellous time. The ship was beautiful and I enjoyed all our ports of call. My least favourite was Belize, the poverty was so blatant, and it made me sad. I did enjoy seeing the Mayan ruins there but I would not go back again. I am too sensitive to this type of thing. Three weeks from tomorrow we are off to our All inclusive in Puerto Plata for a week. My first time doing an All inclusive. It will be interesting to see how I like it compared to cruising. At least it will be warm!!We had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends. It was filled with joy and laughter. Of course, there was a ton of food. At our annual Boxing Day feast we had 31 people!! The most we have ever had was 24. It is a good thing we made a lot because there was precious little for leftovers. I believe a good time was had by all. I was very pleased that with all the food on the cruise and over the holidays that I only gained 1.2 pounds. Now to diet and get rid of it and a bit more.For New Year’s Eve we are having friends over for takeout Chinese food and a movie. Just a nice quiet night to usher in the new year with good friends.I hope all of you have a joyous new year and that the year of 2010 will bring many good things for each and every one of my DS friends.Debbie
