What does the New Year mean to me?
I woke up this morning and the promise of a new day felt giddy in my stomach and spirit.
I washed up and took myself out for a coffee. Was wished a Happy New Year by the barrista
and also by a man sitting outside of the shop feeding the birds. The day, this first day of 2017 felt
exciting - portending of new things to come....and yet as I came home to be in my room. The
newness started to beg some questions for me. So I thought, what are these questions that I feel
I need to ask? What does the New Year mean to me in fact? Is it simply business as usual? I hope
I am not on a turnstile of same behaviors but hopefully - the new year is a chance to journey into uncharted territory
and waters! I feel excited about the day- and new chances and new adventures that ly ahead. I think of making a "To Do" list of aspirations.
I don't want to take for granted the relationships in my life - and the relationships that are not yet in my life that I would like
there to be. It's time to take care of my health and yes take those uncomfortable steps of taking care of it, whether it be
diet and exercise or seeing the doctor. I am getting this chance to make some advancement.
I think I want hold fast to the wind beneath my heels and not let this opportunity pass.
Here's to a love and a potential for all of us that brings us health and prosperity this new year!

it's weird as the new year is here I feel the anticipation and the excitement of the new. I know I mentioned this above but it's real.
So often the 'axios' (a greek term for worthiness)
of actually dreaming a life for me or a participation has felt
not applicable to me - joining - and involvement - engagement in life seemed to be
not alright for me - I don't know what force was telling me this - but this year is different.
I aspire and feel a sense of axios and belonging to the rights to the gifts of life that life has to offer.
I feel excited and grateful.
