What an Adventure!

We went camping over the weekend. It was quite an adventure. My husband and I were the only one's sleeping in a tent. The kids were sleeping in the RV with Grandma and Grandpa. Well everyone had been joking about bears all night. I thought whatever.
So we get in our tent and climb in our sleeping bags. I layed there for over half an hour while my husband snored. I suddenly started to hear noises. I shook my husband and he listened and then started snoring again...asshole. So I sit there and listen to it tearing and skittering around for a good 45mins. I can't think of what could possibly be tearing up. I'm pretty sure it's a racoon, but I wasn't going outside to find out. After it was finally quiet I got out of the tent and ran to the RV and it's locked. So I start banging on the door and my Mom in law lets me in and I told her about the noise. I stayed in the RV and left my husband in the tent.
The next morning we found one of the coolers open, sausages, hotdogs, grapes and lord knows what else had been torn into and eaten. It had actually used my husband's box of beer as a stepping stool, the little shit. Some how we hadn't realized we had a cooler of food outside.
The rest of the day was fine. We went hiking down in the valley for about an hour. We had the kids and my sister in law and her husband. So we are climbing our way back up and we get to the top. All we have to do is climb across a log, jump down on a large rock and cross over to the road.
I did it differently, I jumped to the rock twisting my ankle and fell. My chin landed directly on the edge of the asphalt. My husband says I was unconscious for about 20 secs. Then of course my chin was bleeding and I could hardly stand. Everything was spinning. The park ranger took us back to camp. Everyone gave their expert advice on how to help me, which I appreciated. I should of had stitches but we where and hour and a half away from a hospital. I probably should of had a CAT scan too. I started feeling better after about three hours. So we stayed the rest of the night without any other problems. I'am going to have an ugly scar, but at least it's under my chin where you won't see it much.
I actually had a great time for the most part. My chin sure is swollen and sore though. We are going camping again on the 20th. Let's see if I keep myself out of trouble.
