What now??
What do I do now?? My life has changed so much in the last nine months.
I was told by my family doc that nothing was wrong, I kept going to him and begging him to do something but he kept saying I was OK.
Last Nov. my legs go numb at first I did not mind so much, the unrelenting leg pain was gone. The numbness continued, and in fact got worse. I started to get weak, unable to move. I ended up going to hospital after a few days because I could not move.
I stayed in hospital for 5 weeks, after allot of testing I was told I had MS. I got steriods and got better. Went to rehab started walking went home. I thought I could handle this, at least now I know what is wrong. I would adjust and go on.
I lost feeling in my legs again. More steriods, better once again.
This time after only 3 weeks my legs lost feeling and movement once again. I went to a MS clinic and I was told that I have progressive MS. Told there were not allot of treatment options.
The numbness kept going higher and higher. It went to the bottom of my chest. I could not move the bottom 3 or 4 ribs. After a few weeks it went higher ended up going to the hospital. Was admitted, we did the steriod thing again. Once again it worked but not for long. I was told that I could not go home, now living in a long term hospital. I do not know what I am feeling. That is what I need to do

Your story is heartbreaking. Everything happened so fast. Do you have any kind of support group, family or friends to come and spend time with you in hospital so you can talk things out? Gentle hugs.
Thank you for your kind thoughts, my Hubby does come in everyday to see me, he is not well and it has been just as hard on him.
I would like to be clear on what happened
I have had symptoms for last 20 yrs
I kept telling my family doc about them he would not believe me
I asked for an MRI from head to tailbone but he would not do one he said it was just normal ware and tear on my spine.
He told me that nothing was wrong.
I got a new doc sep 2010
within one month of his being my doc he does an MRI I get called into his office and he told me that it looks like I have MS and he would get me in to see an MS specialist I went into hospital the night before I was to see him
that is why I am soo angery
