What? 3 good days in a row???
Seriously? That can ONLY mean something bad is around the bend, right? Nah, say I'm wrong. Really! Do it, because I'm the everliving pessimist. Friends will be up here tomorrow through Sun. I took off work tomorrow to get some housecleaning done in the AM before they arrive. Of course, I'm an ultra-rabid perfectionist. But I've told myself I will NOT go overboard. After all, they're our FRIENDS! They're not going to judge us on how spotless our domicile appears!I have to work this weekend though. That stinks. *sigh* Such is my job. It always feels like such a thankless job. But well, it's the bed I made for now. I know my family doc told me not to worry ... to find something else even if it's lower pay. That things would work out in the end. But I don't deal well w/ that sort of uncertainty well. Maybe I should? Maybe it'd be therapeutic?I'm also beginning to think that Tony & I should use our free gym memberships. We're both suffering from depression & a cornucopia of other mental maladies. Maybe some exercise would be a fantastic way to blow off some steam. It would certainly keep us from bellyaching about bulging midsections!Tony's psychologist thinks we ought to volunteer @ the Fringe Fest. I'm not sure about that. But I do need to check out volunteermatch.org. I really think it would benefit us to do something for others less fortunate in some way, shape, or form. At minimum, it could alleviate some of our individual arrogances/ narcisissm & foster some humility.Well, I believe the Prozac doc put me on 8 days ago is beginning to kick in. Honestly, I'm feel a wee bit manic. But we'll see how that all goes. Right now it's only 20mg daily. I still suffer from sore muscles, raging tension headaches, & digestive issues on a regular basis. Both issues have calmed a bit since I've seen the doctor & since Tony's displayed marked improvements. But one issue I still need help on is sleep. I can't get through the night w/o waking. And when I wake, I toss & turn in frustration 'cause I can't sleep. If I CAN sleep through the night it's only because it took me hours to get to sleep. I don't want to keep taking melatonin. I'm afraid I may become dependent. I've stopped drinking caffeine after 12 noon (save for a few exceptions). I've replaced sugary desserts w/ fresh fruit. I have a cup of milk before bed. Doc says I should walk in the eves. The problem is I am physically tired. I yawn a lot. But I can't seem to turn my brain off. I stop watching TV w/i 30 min. of bedtime (or try to most nights). I crawl into bed w/ a kitty & read. Maybe I should choose lighter fare than Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee?!?! This lack of good & proper sleep is a big obstacle!

Ugh, I spent MUCH of last night tossing & turning. Then again, I had a good bit of wine before bed & had to keep peeing, then got a royal headache & STILL couldn\'t sleep!
