Well my family doctor

emailed my liver biopsy results.  I think its good news.  Not sure.  She said I needed to wait until I heard from Dr Gawrie and his review of the slides.  But it looks like it's not auto-immune!  This may be a blessing.  Maybe I can save this big ole liver.
Pathology report says that there is mild fatty liver disease and that infiltrate suggests hepatitis secondary to drug.  Here is the part that worries me a bit:
"The histologic scoring of chronic hepatitis for this case is mild to moderate activity, grade 3 (of 0-4), fibrosis stage 2 (of 0-4)."
I think I would like those numbers better if they were 0's.  I need to know what I can take to keep a liver but wipe out an immune system.
Generally, I think I feel better and my mood is better when I have a treatment plan.  Medical limbo drives me nuts.

It sounds good to me. Have you called to get an appointment with Dr Gawrie? Hopefully he will be pleased with these results. Problem is you still have to find out what has been causing you the pain etc.

I hope the doc\'s interpretation is good. Dandelion tea apparently supports liver function; I try to drink it regularly but it\'s nasty.
I\'m happy to hear you are in a good place. Mood alone can make a huge difference when in \"medical limbo\".
Take care. Larissa
