Well, it's my birthday.
Today is my birthday. What do I have planned? I have to work, so I'll spend the first part of it sitting here, watching lesbian documentaries on Netflix, and drinking cappuccino. I'll check my Facebook periodically, so I don't have 80 notifications at once of people that wouldn't know it was my birthday without it.
The second part will be spent sleeping, thanks to my night-shift job. So that's always a good time.
Then, during the evening, a few friends and I are going to get together and watch the first season of The L Word. I've seen them all already, but it's something to do. Hopefully someone will bring cake! :)
I guess I'm finally at the age where birthdays are just another day. I'm turning 20, so there's not a lot to celebrate. Next year will be a different story.
Maybe I'll buy myself something special to celebrate, but my brain says I'm just trying to find an excuse to spend frivolously. So that's a no. I'm not that girl that runs around screaming "It's my birthday!" for attention, but I secretly enjoy sitting here and seeing who all contacts me. That's normal though. I don't expect a parade or anything. This is the part where I sit here and think about where I want to be in 5 years. As neither a pessimist or an optimist, but a realist, I know that where I want to be and where I'll ACTUALLY be will probably be two very different stories.
