today i had appt with my family doc    when i see him i put a notepad in front of his side of the desk with all my questions and concerns so i dont forget to tell him anything      but today i was chickening out about discussing going back on meds so i decided to keep my notepad in from of me on my side of the desk  but that didnt matter because low and behold my doc can read notepads across the desk upside down ha ha ha     so he jumped on the subject  i told him i wanted to just discuss it today and wait to see my pdoc in november  but he informed they were already waiting a long time for me to give the med goahead     geez cant hide anything from those who know you so well ha ha ha      so in a few mins i will be taking my first dose of lithium in over a year now    step two in the morning   and baby steps till my pdoc appt then we ll regroup and go from there   lithium was the first med i ever went on and boy was i sick for the first eleven weeks  so i m hoping the side effects will be minor this time around but if not o well ill just have to suck it up for a while  i know ive made the right decision about going back on meds  and i have complete peace about  at least right now i do ha ha     got tons of blood work today see my doc friday more blood tests make sure all is well with the lithium levels  so here i go......im off............

Lithium was my first BP med.
It took me a while to get past the barfy feelings. But after a while, I settled in ok.

I was the MOST stable and productive when I was on Lithium.
I was basically \"normal\"...no mood swings , no racing thoughts, I had LOTS of energy for my job.

I was mentally focused and sharp

It is my opinion, from knowing a few BP people , that those on Lithium are the most stable, have jobs like Dr, Lawyer, high Tech people .....they are productive , and manage a stable life.

Unfortunately, I became toxic on Lithium, so it\'s a med I can not tolerate.

I\'m sending you hugs and best wishes
Love
Debbie
