weird day
Today was kind of a weird day as far as my eating and exercising goes. I am always able to do more exercise in the am than the afternoon. Yesterday I did 120 steps on the treadmill. This morning I couldn't get passed 92. Today was my day to take care of my mom. They always have junk food over there and since I've started my new eating style I haven't really been tempted. Today though, they had chocolate old fashioned donuts sitting out. I passed them up in the morning, even closed the lid and pushed them to the back of the counter where they weren't so visible. But around lunch time I couldn't resist and had one. I was glad that I had only one, because I've been known to scarf down a whole box within a couple of hours. For lunch I had a whole wheat english muffin with cream cheese, so all in all it wasn't that bad. For dinner I had planned to have a baked potato and hamburger patty.. I bought all the fixins for the potato. I was getting really hungry waiting for the potatoes to cook so I had a snack of a skinny cow popsicle. I was still really hungry so I had some crackers and cheese (which I ended dipping into the sour cream. Finally the potatoes were done and I hafixed all the toppings and stuff and about half way through i was full but still wanted to eat. I ended up finishing the potato. My stomach was full, but I still wanted to eat. I ate 3 marshmallows then after that I was satisfied. A little later I started feeling uncomfortably full. I guess I ate too fast so my brain didn't catch up with my stomach or something. I felt bad for overeating so I pushed myself on the treadmill. I was able to do 105 steps, which is good because previously in the evenings I haven't been able to do more than 70. Sometimes as few as 30. I have been feeling all day like I am slipping. I am so afraid that I will just give in and throw away all my progress. On the upside. My son made me a hamburger and I truned it down. I really wanted a 2nd and a 3rd skinny cow pop but I stopped at one. I also only had 3 marshmallows that could have easily turned into half a bag or more.
