When I put on my Sheeba, Queen of De Nial crown, my list of reasons for numbing out is even more impressive than the jewels in my imaginary crown. Don't they shimmer as befits my throne of defeated cowardice? Are you impressed when you notice me at all?
When I shift the focus from that highly impressive list to the list of things *I Want* to experience in my life, I can see my Sheeba Crown as the crumbling wreckage of detritus it is and the glories buried beneath that crown have room to flourish.
