Weekend Trips

I went to Kansas last weekend to visit family.  My mom and my half brother's and sister live up there.  My kids were out of school on Monday so we had an extended weekend.  I love visiting as my aunt will come down and visit with us too and she's pretty funny.  Helps lighten my mood.  One of my half brothers and I are bumping heads over my "relationship choice."  Thinks that I may be putting my two kids into trouble.  So needless to say there was a coldness in any conversation the two of us had.  Over all it was a nice weekend, no complaints there just visiting and hanging out.  This next weekend we're suppose to go to Missouri for the weekend so me and the kids can spend time with him and his kids.  We are also suppose to be doing our Valentines Day exchange and maybe a dinner this weekend if he can find the time.  Apparently he's been so busy with school that he has "forgotten" about his daughter's therapist appointments, missed 2 so far this month.  He apologized to me about it when he told me and I made the comment he didn't need to be apologizing to me, it's his daughter that needs it and he know's it.  He also made the comment that we needed to talk this weekend.  Doesn't want to really get into on the phone, which is usual but as far as talking when I come over for our visits that usually doesn't happen either.  We'll see I guess.  I did tell him that we need to figure out a game plan, I'm tired of waiting around and reading so much.  We can only do so much reading and trying to understand things and sometimes we will never fully understand it.  Hopefully something happens one way or the other with us this weekend.  I don't want it to be over but it's been a year and a half and I am not doing anything with my life besides being on call for a few friends who pay me under the table for misc housework/yardwork.  Crossing my fingers.
