Week One Update

Well, it's been a week on my cleanse, and I'm feeling pretty groovy!  I adapted my cleanse to include a dinner of raw vegetables, for a couple of reasons.  I've never found that the salt water flushes work for me (a la Master Cleanse) and I don't want to overuse laxative teas to ensure a daily bowel movement.  Also, with my history of binges, I knew I could potentially be setting myself up for one at the end of the cleanse.   I want to be able to make this a permanent lifestyle change.  The all or nothing attitude that I have been burdened with for a long time is now falling by the way-side, and that has made me feel lighter than ever!  So, in order to make this something more 'solid', I added some solids!  At first, I could never imagine myself becoming a raw foodist, but the healthier I become, the more it seems to me to be the next logical step.   I'm not sayin' that I will ever be 100% raw.  I don't wish to put myself into any sort of box, but I do intend to be as raw as possible, because as anyone who researches raw nutrition knows, the proof is in the raw pudding! I intend to do add three days of juice only every 10 days or so, to push deeper into the cleansing process.  Anyway, I wanted to keep this brief, so I will end by saying thanks to those who are supporting me through this.  I'm sending you all warm fuzzies! Namaste!
