Wednesday Meeting.
My mother is meeting with the Medical Center social workers and those social workers that handle my sisters case and then on Wednesday is having a meeting with my brother and me. I am hopeful that she has made some decisions on where she wants my father and her to be and so help to settle the turmoil me and my family has gone though the last month.
I also hope that she has decided to have my father with alzheimers placed in a facility for his own care and also that she wishes to be also sent to a rest home or retirement home where she can be cared for and made comfortable. She deserves to be at peace and not brought back into the stress and fighting that she has been putting up with for years now and that has driven her to her weakened condition.
If she decides on this plan then my parents will be using their savings to pay for it and that means my brother will not have everything paid for him form now on or have as much inheritance later. He will not like that. I have spoken to my mother about the rental property they have and would like to have her transfer it into my brother and my name. This would not only then take the worry form her that we would be taken care of but also lower their net worth and allow them to get some state aid that they couldn't if they owned too much or were worth too much money. This fits my own selfish needs as well as removes my brother from relying on them to pay for everything for him. But if they do not wabt to do this it is her decision.
Without the rent from the one house that I am living off of now, I do not know how I will be able to pay my bills and thus live on my own or for that matter anywhere. but since my brother is already living in one of their houses and uses the rent gained from two other houses to pay for his bills it will hurt him more if they cut us off. Well maybe not since he at least will have a place to live.
I hope my mother decides to do what she thinks is fair after so many years of supporting him and lets me have the one house to rent and pay my bills. I'm not sure what I will do if she doesn't and I cna't find a job really soon. I can't even look for work right now or take a job if I found one. But if she settles her placment and fathers and we can get back to some semblance or normalcy after all of this then I wil try hard to find something to pay my own way as I had for the last twenty years before the last year and half.
I'm not sure what my brother will do with his history of not holding a job for very long and every job he has gotten was through family or friends. He has had most everything given to him and has no sense of the worth of earning it himself and how to manage it very well. Should I care? I probably should but I'm not sure if it will bother me too much after all the favors I have done, money I have loaned him and never gotten back, things he has stolen from me and promises he has broken or straight out lies he has told and the help I have given him for so little return. I do have some belief in Karma though a Christian and I hope that it will be good to me and kick him in the butt.
Mostly I want my mother to have some peace and comfort and my father to be taken care of and us all to be able to get some kind of normalcy regardless of what it may be when all is said and done.
