Well today my amazon.com order finally came. I was excited to finally get it since one of the items was a surprise for him.

I thought he would be " extremely " happy about the surprise, but by his mixed reaction I'm just not sure now. 

Sure he had a big grin on his face, and his face lit up like a kid on Christmas morning, but it was his comments about it " possibly " being clothes instead, that really hurt. Those comments were like stabs to my gut ! 

I had put a LOT of careful thought into buying that wrestling dvd for him, but he had to mention that he thought I might have gotten him clothes ?!?! .... WHY ? Why mention that at all to the person that just gave you a thoughtful gift ?! 

Instead WHY couldn't he have simply said his thanks, and shown me his grins, and left it at that... with NO extra comments about what the gift was NOT ! 

It made me almost wonder WHY I even bothered getting it for him in the first place ! 

I could have spent that 15 bucks on something extra for myself ! 

After all, the amazon gift card was from my sister Joanne for MY Christmas present ! MY CHRISTMAS PRESENT... NOT HIS !!!!! 

He very quickly, and very convieniently forgot that fact ! 

Lesson learned I suppose... 

I'll have to think twice... and think long and hard... before I get any surprise for him again !
