Wednesday eve
Hello SOTH - I'm home after a great week-end with Hunter. He is my only grandchild so to feel that connection makes my heart glad. He looks so much like Jennifer...SIGH....I had to remind myself at times just to keep breathing as I wanted to see her too! Hunter is dong well in school and adjusting well to his "new surroundings with my ex-husband's family". It was my daughter's wishes that he be there so I guess all is well. I was able to spend time with him alone, just "hanging out"...He attempted to teach me a few video games and we went to the movies and lunch...sure miss being close but am grateful I was able to drive to see him. A big hug from Hunter is still with me...:)
Today my throat is sore, feeling kinda blah....Those kids probably gave me somethin'..LOL -- taking Vitamin C and will go to bed early. Fortunately tomorrow and Friday are minimum days so if I have to leave I can, once the kids are gone....I had a student today lying down in the grass at the baseball field saying he had a "heart attack" and couldn't move...He was fine but obviously did not want to do PE...after talking to his mom - she told him to go back to class - He walked away, saying " I can't believe my mom told me to go to class after I've had a heart attack". He really did look in disbelief...LOL All in a day's work.
Take good care my sisters....much love and praying for sweet dreams to you all. Vicki

I know how that kid feels, lol. After cleaning & cooking for two days, for my Bunko group to come last night, I felt like stretching out on the carpet, under the ceiling fan and having a \"heart attack\" too :)
(((HUGS)))...Julia
So happy you were able to spend time with Hunter. I can just see him trying to teach you some video games. If you\'re anything like me, it \"didn\'t take\"....LOL!
Too funny about the kid saying he\'d had a heart attack!!
Love to you dear friend and love to Jennifer!
Ha ha - that boy has a future on the stage! Lovely that you had a fun visit with Hunter - I\'m sure it\'s hard for you to leave. It sounds as though you and he have a very special relationship together. Joanna x
I don\'t believe I will ever know the love of a grandchild, however working in the schools for many years, I know the irony of kid\'s faking it. This gave me good memories of my working days! LOL
Sending love,
Leda
Grateful you had this precious time with your Hunter! :) LOL about the student! Honestly, I will never forget some of the stories and ways my students tried to get out of doing their assignments or going to class. One of the cutest was one of my boys who told me he was so very sorry that he had not done his assignment because he was helping to deliver his baby brother. I almost \"bought in\" till his mom came into to bring in his late assignment looking as if she might deliver in our classroom! Talk about a look of disbelief on her son\'s face. LOL!!!! \"BUSTED!\"
Love your way always and for your dear Jennifer. Hoping your sore throat is a thing of the past and soon.
XO Joanie
Sounds like you and Hunter had good times. The heart attack LOL, you should start a book on the things you hear from these kids. I do hope you get to reconnect with Hunter again very soon.
Hugs Penny
I know what you mean about time with your grandson...kinda reenergizes the spirit. So funny about your student and his \"heart attack\" lol. Take care! Karen
