wednesday chit chat

let's start off nice and slow.
yesterday was crabby ooze coming up and out like a tiny little baby volcano. did it benefit me? nope, sure didn't. felt like a so sorry for me mucking about. yes we all need to let stuff out. not saying hold it in.......cause that would be bad.
but how can i focus on the good........if i'm in all about me mode? the two seem like an incongruous pair. the good of yesterday was getting up and then later being able to do honey dos.
the bird feeders are waiting on the counter to be filled w/ fresh nectar. my head is pounding. another of those alarm clock headaches. i wonder if sleeping in a certain position triggers them at night? why doesn't our body arrive with a book of instructions? then we could look things up as they happen and maybe we would find out faster if there is a recall on certain parts? or models even........seems reasonable and right to me.
finally putting it together, there is a thing that can happen when you take new meds. like the antibiotic i'm on currently........:
Dysgeusia (/dsjuzi/ dis-GEW-zee-) is a distortion of the sense of taste.
Water has been tasting funky and food too.........the dysgeusia explains what it is.......the last pill will be on Saturday and soon after things should begin to taste good again. some people lose their sense of taste completely and some discover that their taste buds are muted. each of these conditions has it's own word. trippy eh?
when i wake it feels like i've been in a fender bender. gotta get past the ache of sleep and push on to do daily puttering. last night i was talking to Bruce. he's coming to pressure wash the porch swing and then deliver it to Sara today. he's always ready to help.......
spoke to sam briefly, he was working on e-mails so i let him get back to it. then later the phone rang....i saw it was sam, so like any good dorky momma.......said the first doofy thing......."YOU MISSED ME, YOU REALLY MISSED ME".......tried to give it all the gaity of Sally Fields oscar speech .....do you remember that? She said, "You like me, you really like me" and she meant it with such sincerity and then had to live to rue the constant quote and overall teasing for saying things we think OUTLOUD.
He just cracked up.......talked to me about some piano things going on and then invited me to a concert Friday night. so here i am wondering how to work that out. have the doctor visit earlier, could i manage to go to a concert too? not sure, but it sure does sound like a fine idea. i forgot to ask who is playing and he forgot to tell me, we're a pair......truth is i don't care, it's the chance to hear fresh music.......right out of someone's fingertips.
did i tell you that i got some new make up? i went to target armed with a list in my head of things Sara suggested - invested in some pretties for my face top to bottom, side to side. a new foundation, powder......blush, eye shadow, lip color. concealer and something i was not familiar with, they call it eyelid primer. yup, you put it on the eyelid before putting on any shadow so it lasts a long time. got some clear mascara and some black mascara called "million dollar lashes". my old mascara was a goner from lack of use..........the name is pretty funny, but since Sara has tried it and likes it I thought I can too! i put it all in a case that hangs on the back hook in the master bath. the case has clear zippered pouches. easy to see what you're looking for. and i even bought some lip stain........it's probably been on the market for years, but since i haven't worn much make up in the last few years it's NEW TO ME.
if i sound like a teen getting make up for the first time welllll, that's how i'm feeling. there is a make up line at Target called ELF........their products are very inexpensive. There is a dollar line, a two dollar line and a 3 dollar line. So that allowed me to try some of these products and not feel like I spent the farm.
got some glow sticks too, they are light colors, you rub them LIGHTLY all over your face and that gives you a youthful glow.........i haven't tried it yet so i don't know if i'll look dewy fresh or more like a glow in the dark halloween mask, but what the hey? and sara gave me a bottle of anti red serum.........never heard of that either. but she says it will help me even out my skin tones.
hope you don't mind my yammering about make up.........my goal was to have fresh products and to set up a five minute make up strategy. in time maybe i'll go forth and practice the mighty smoky eye, but for now it's just fun to play with the stuff and get used to it again.
with the shorter do that takes such little time to style i thought i can add make up back again........today i need to go visit the nail lady, i have two ingrown nails........ow ow ow ow ow. poor little toes, it's miserable to put shoes on when your toes hurt.
it's gonna take a little time to grow into this day, cause i feel sluggish and slow, but if i have a can do spirit then why can't i?
fresh hugs to start your day off right!
this little bird is playing with make up. try and give the "Happy Song" a listen soon, it makes me smile and sit up higher when i hear it.......it's by Pharrell Williams. hugggggggggggggggggggsssssssssssss

Don\'t worry about yammering about your make-up. I love make-up. Sometimes I can con people into thinking I\'m not sick if I do my make-up really well, but then I start limping and the gig is up. Oh, well, it was worth a try. Glad your Sam called. I loved the Sally Fields reference. I prayed for you in my morning prayers, dear Ruthie. Love you.

I would love love love to get all-new make-up. I haven\'t been to the store for that since 2011 and other than lip balm and my foundation powder (which I can order online)? Zip. Not tha tI wear it anyway.... So talk away, its nic to talk about \"everyday\" things like makeup (BTW, love the idea of a glow sticks)....

I would love to try the dollar line at TTarget. My mom\'s $$ woes are such that my every spare cent is going to her for her health and auto bills right now, so no $$ for \"me\" much. Hmmm.... Maybe I can make Target my next \"target\" in beating agoraphobia!

GEtnlest hugs and wishes, Ruthie, and it\'s okay to have a \"Woe is me\" day. Better Woe is me out than in. :-)

Love the Sally Field reference, too. :-)

I enjoyed your yammering about make-up because I love make-up too and I still miss my Mama because she and I used to do facials, make-up, and hair fixing together a lot. We had such fun. I hope you get to feeler betterer and betterer! (new words).
Hugs and love always from me to you!

Well, you can see that we all love our makeup, Sparrow!! It just adds so much to our appearance. Takes away a lot of that saggy, sad, paleness we carry with us! Sometimes I scare myself when I look in the mirror. I\'m just SO white! UGH! Anyway, a good foundation, some light blush, and some mascara with some light lipstick make a world of difference in how I look, and how I FEEL about how I look. These little things count. Good on you for taking care of pretty Sparrow!

I\'m so glad you have Bruce. I need someone like that. I\'m calling it an errand runner, but I really need someone like Bruce....someone who can fix stuff, and lift stuff, and maybe wash the car when it needs it, or get my snow blower out of the garage when I need it. You know. I needz me one of them there people.....not sure how to advertise for that. Workin on it!

Hope you get to go to the fresh music night!! It would be a nice treat for you. You are blessed to have Sam. He loves his mama and shows it openiy. Such a blessing!!

OK, gotta go eat. You do the same! Have a good weekend, Ruthie! xo
