Wednesday check in

Hi there :) just wanted to check in. How is everyone doing?

Been a really busy week so far, but I'm doing really well.

Went to a wedding over the weekend....by myself.

It was my therapist idea. I had been telling her how my husband and I were supposed to go, we rsvp'ed ...but then he backed out. I felt bad because I had sent the RSVP...and the couple getting married were two people we work with in the production booth at church.

She suggested that I go solo. And I was like....ah yeah ...NO!!

But we discussed it and talked about how I could find people that I kinda know to make me feel safer.....and ways to "escape" outside when I started to panic and things like that.

And that's what I did. I went. Actually someone I know found me....as I was standing there awkwardly and ask if they could sit with me. It was just the 3 of us (she had her husband there) in a corner by ourselves. 

After the service when everyone got up to greet one another. I did start to panic cause the other couple left to visit. I kinda ping-ponged around until I bumped into someone else who looked as anxious as me.  

She excused herself and said the reception was to peoplely that she was going to escape to the parking lot....

I asked if I could escape with her....and that's what we did.

We did get stopped for a photo on the way out. But that was cool.

So I didn't make it through the reception....but I DID manage to go to a wedding all by myself.

I'm proud of me :)
