weathering the choppy waters

I saw my therapist yesterday online as is usual.

I was really hyper and excited and I kind of just went with it - didn't worry too much

about keeping orderly...I felt good, sort of, if a little hyper/manic

and after the session, I wondered if she thought I was crazy

and wondered what she thought of me. Since she's in charge of guiding me

through mental health challenges, I look to her for feedback. Am I doing ok?

This morning I woke up hyper again... And though I wasn't really hungry

I decided to keep my schedule of going to Starbucks to get a Chai Latte.

I'm getting chubby again so I'll cut corners foodwise in some other way.

But I digress. About feeling hyper this morning. I wonder

after my meeting yesterday and feeling hyper this morning... can I weather

choppiness like this - and still push forward and be effective in my life -  to start

new projects - to complete them even so with the unanswered?? I have in the past..

perhaps I just need to keep at finding my order of things and move forward.

Not being closed off to life.

Sending big hugs to you guys...hopeful weekend that we all get relief soon

from this pandemic...

Peace and Namaste!

If your therapist doesn't think you are at least a little crazy (by whatever name), I am going to question her ethics in taking your money. I won't question her too loudly, though. If she helps you feel better, she is providing a valid service. One of my favorite things about the Catholic Church is their use of "Spiritual Advisors," both ordained and lay. Their spiritual advisors were available to me long before I completed their RCIA at the age of 45. I count them highly on my therapy network.

Choppy waters, be they in a rocky stream or a mighty ocean, is one of my favorite meditations for managing my own mental health conditions. Choppy waters, both literal and metaphorical, happen and there is more than one way to navigate them.

Steady as she blows, Cap'n. . .

thanks arfie.. I really appreciate it... bless you!!!! you so reassure me and you inspire me to recognize that I am not alone
in my daily life with the ups and downs... they didn't teach that in school that much of my daily routine and adventure would
require meditations or assuaging of the sense of confusion and mental scrambled eggs state of mind that I experience...
some days I have to mull over my experience more than others, I can chart my own path - I feel lucky about that - though some days it's like i need an 'alpha' to help reassure me that I am doing alright like I am wishing for a roadmap to guide me
but I can appreciate that too - and live aside from that... I know in my time off - like this weekend - I can go with my plan for the day -
and anxiety is so much there - but I suppose it's a natural thing - because we're all taking care of our lives - and surviving -
it's just reality - and I guess much of my anxiety comes from wanting there to be someone else there with me surviving along
the journey...just thoughts.. peace!!
