Weather and pain.

There is no doubt that bad weather affects people with chronic pain syndromes and good weather seems to help.  One thing that still amazes me is that when I went to Mexico from Canada last winter, somehow, someway, that I truly do not understand is that the pain was truly minimal.  I wasn't drinking alcohol!!  The pain is less in Canada in the summer but still there is pain.  In Mexico, pain took a holiday.  Does anyone know why this would be?  Would it have lasted if I was there for longer than 2 weeks?  By the way, it rained quite a bit while I was there.
