We are the super heroes
I went to work today and then came home. I seem to manage so much of my challenge while at work effectively because I have a structure and a command of what needs to be done. I don't have a time free of problems but I keep it 'in check.' I then come home to my free time and most days I struggle with myself and since I can't seem to manage myself when in my free time it turns into a failure for me and a real lacking. But I thought to myself today that I know I struggle when at work and accomplish things so why on earth would it not seem natural that I struggle in my time off. This thought really opened a door for me. I can deal with my time off and not feel like it has to be perfect and with that kind of latitude it broadens my view and enables me to accomplish stuff even so with the same kind of muster and action. So I am sitting here now, after visiting the cats in the shelter. I had an avengers movie on and I realized that we are so like these super heroes. We each have our special challenges and talents and for some reason these heroes I think capture the kind of essence of the emotional and imho heroic struggle we have to survive and get on in life. We may not like what we see at times about our lives but that doesn't mean we quit. We make it happen in a way we like better.

Uh-oh. . . You trying to trigger my "Super-hero Complex?" That was a popular psych dx in the 80's and I was a shoe in for all the best workshops on the syndrome. Those well-intentioned souls invested allot of time and energy into getting me to leave my proverbial supercape on the coat rack.
Or am I lost in metaphor again? ? ? Maybe I'm just attempting humor again. . .
Haha, thanks Arfie.
