We are OK

Well Irene has finally left North Carolina.  Boy was yesterday a long long day.  Especially with no power.  We all woke up yesterday morning with strong winds and rain.  We had power.  Well I started breakfast for everyone and almost done when we lost power.  Finally around 4:30pm the power came back on.  Glad of that.  Not much damage alot of shingles off the top of the house, leak in bathroom ceiling, and lots of cleaning up in the yard.  Now the sad part.  As we where listening to the news last night we heard a 15 year old girl lost her life in a car accident yesterday afternoon in Goldsboro.  My heart breaks for this family.  I think in North Carolina there 5 deaths due to Irene.  So sad.
John pulled out @ 6 this morning.  Heading to who knows where.  I wanted to thank everyone for their prayers, hugs and love.
Love you all

Your John is one of those heroes we all depend on to keep our power going. I\'m sending him and you loving thoughts and prayers. Terry

Dear Rhonda, I am so glad that Irene is gone and most of us are all safe! We never lost power here (well, at my mom\'s anyway that is where I stayed last night). They let us out of work early yesterday and work was closed today due to no power or telephones. No word yet on work tomorrow, all depends on if we have power. Anyway, it is over and happy you are safe. Love you, Belinda
