wayze dependence

I have been delivering for my parents now for a year or so

and to navigate to the location I need to get to, I have been using the app Waze or Wayze (on my Iphone).

It tells me when to turn , where to go and when I have arrived.

When I was younger I used to write directions down or use a map or both.

We had a map maker out here called "The Thomas Guide."

We juggled that book while making our way to our destination and it was a habit to read a map quickly -

I've become so dependent on Wayze now that I've kind of lost my sense of direction....

it's weird.

I definitely see how AI and all the kind of mental assist technology could render

us mentally flacid and incompetent! :)

The talk directions are so handy now.... I used to work in Community Health and had to find my way from home to home via maps.... Now things are so much easier!!... xo

Awareness counts, Markus Questionarius. Tech dependence isn't the only way to achieve mental flaccidity. When I am aware of a lazy habit which is weakening my mental strength, the awareness ushers in a position to find a balancing agent. Awareness counts.

I don’t drive but I am an excellent navigator thanks to technology. Honestly when I’m in a new place trying to find things it is life changing.

However, when I was a kid my mom taught me how to read road atlases on road trips. I think I even wanted to be a cartographer for maybe a year haha.
