wasted day - awake at night

Hi There,
For those of you who share cfs road you know PEM hits hardest 48 hours after the day you do more........Sunday I was tired & sore, today I was whoooped.  Two long naps followed my morning journal......  One that ate morning & one that ate afternoon.  wiped out by the  pacman virus........the little pacmen ate all my energy, sent me into coma hyperspace.
ate dinner, watched some tv.  (Progresso's potato, cheese and brocoli chowder, it was good!) didn't watch the rest of the documentary yet, but i will.
the kitties are in hog heaven.  had the furniture moved around awhile back. the power chair is where the couch used to be......and vice versa.  the kitties are using the new chair locale as a race track.  they had so much fun today......raced round and round.......vroom vroom, batted each other, wrestled and then after a brief skirmish with loud cat fight sounds, they walked off all stiff and straight in opposite directions.
annie sat on the kitchen table with her paws draped over the chair like some grand mademoiselle......as though she couldn't have ever been caught out battling with rio only moments before.  annie has a lot of tomboy in her......found them later napping on the bed curled up on either side of a small white pillow.  looking adorable.
thanks for the tales about your own fur babies, they all do the cutest funniest things........big hugs for sharing.......xoxooxooxoxoxoxooxoxox still don't know what she was licking on that tray.  funny girl.
i flipped the switches on the ceiling fans over to fall & cleaned the fan blades.  at 10:45 tonight.  weird doing chores like that at night.  one would think at this point (being home full time) it would not matter what time things are done, but this still seems odd.  i went to throw in a load of laundry and discovered a load already washed just sitting there.  well alrighty then.
call me foggy bottomed & tuckered out.  threw the new dirty stuff on top, added more cleaning powder and hit the go switch. if that is wrong so be it.  wrong may just be the new right.
if i can remember tomorrow i am going to try to make chicken enchiladas with white cheese sauce.  that's a big if...........as in if I can move well enough, stand long enough to do it, i will try.
tonight i caught part of the voice, part of the new show w/James Spader and read a lot more about the history of the White House.  i know there is something i was going to do today, but for the life of me i can't remember what it was.  it feels like it was important, not a bill, but something...........i did find a box of kleenex in the freezer tonight.  wow. weird.
thinking a big salad tomorrow, think i have some garbanzos somewhere, and i could hard boil some eggs.  hope you don't mind, my mind is awake enough to think right now, i pulled out a pad and wrote my to do list.  no date on it, not trying to strong arm anybody here, but a general try to do list helps me remember.  so far, enchilada recipe, lemon bars?, refrigerate the garbanzos and hard boil eggs.  not too bad.........oh yeah, dry the clothes.
the house looks nice, smells like fabric softener, the machine just stopped.  now we're down to the hum of the frig and a quiet ticking sound as the washer completely comes to a resting position. i can hear the sound of crickets outside.  one small light in here and another in the living room, everything looks prettier in the evening glow of soft lighting. i took a shower about a half hour ago, i was watching the news, when they did a story on some local salaries I got mad and decided to go cool off.
the superintendent of schools for our county is currently receiving a salary of $433,000 annually.  WHAT, seriously WHAT?  the super for the biggest county in NY oversees more than a million children and he receives $212,000 a year.  our state governor receives $139,000 but two of the state officials working for him?  one guy pulled some unethical loopholes to triple his salary.......so he managed to pay himself a whopping $339,000 last year.  they have now changed the law to eradicate this sneaky little way of quietly being slick, it was "legal",  but HIGHLY UNETHICAL.  (the way he did this makes me cringe, he found ways to pay himself three times his salary in one year, what a con man). this kind of stuff makes me mad enough to spit and do some roundhouse kicks. ok, so maybe no roundhouse kicks, but something........!!!!!!
now that he's been so publicly outed i hope he is packing his bags and leaving.  then they said that the man who manages the retirement accounts for our state is paid a whopping $688,000.  That is when I had to go take a shower to cool my blood pressure down.  What can he possible be doing to earn that much money?  Somebody needs to explain it to me, cause that sounds completely crazy.  Maybe I am way out of touch with salaries, or maybe some of the world has gone completely mad.  The reporter who did the story says she there are people making enough more outrageous salaries yet to be revealed this week.  news is important, it is.........but it is bad for high blood pressure and peace of mind.  i don't want to be uninformed but i don't want to die from news either.
i am going to spend another half hour reading what you're up to and then see if i can do a little catching up with ya'll every day this week.  i love hearing from you, the notes, the hugs, the comments, I don't know what I would do without ya'll..........when you're not able to be around I miss you, think of you and pray for you......................you're my DS family and don't think for one second that you're ever far from my thoughts........you guys have helped me through some tough times, added laughter, shared so much of your life and times with me........we've laughed and cried together, i'm feeling all sentimental over ya'll.........thank you for being my friend, neighbor, buddy, pal and confidants.  love you mucho mucho.  nite!

Now you have got my blood to boiling. Wages & salaries are so out of line. Some of the toughest & most meaningful jobs get so little pay but yet some get so much for so little.

Glad to be among those who you call \"friend.\"

once i showered and vented here i let it go..............can\'t carry it for long, won\'t either..........but our state is cutting so many valuable services.....from programs for daily bread for children to padlocking our state parks and putting employees on furlough........but these these whatever you call them......people with greedy intent have more times how much to line their own grain silos than they need........way more than those who mold the minds of the youth of America or find ways to multiply bread & fish for little ones.......not mad exactly, l have a compassionate and practical spirit. some things are outrageous. hugs......and more hugs!
