Wasooooooo.....Wasoooooo
So first off, KC did lose the baby. They never had to get to a second ultrasound. She started bleeding really really bad two days ago. And she went to the hospital, they did thier things....and announced she had miscarried. She isn't taking it so well. She is fourteen, and she went and drank both nights...even though I'm sure she shouldn't be...for more reasons then age. And she's being reckless. Doing things that she knows would endanger her. I called the Pregnancy Support Centre again and left a message asking if they knew of any miscarriage support groups. I'll go with her if she want's, but I think she needs to talk to someone about it.
Second, sorry if this offends anyone, seriously sorry, but fucking Jehovah Witnesses! Like seriously, most bat shit crazy religion ever! My mum informed me last night that she was in the process of filling out and signing a medical directive that will not allow any hospital or medical personel to give her a blood transfusion under any circumstances. That if she needed one or she would die, she would just have to die. Because her god believes blood is sacred, and that you should be a selfish prick about it and not let anyone use your blood to save themselves, and not let yourself use anyone elses blood in order to save your own life. That blood is 'sacred' and it goes against his word to have any other person's blood in you. So basically, if she's ever in a serious crash or get's a really serious wound, she will be dead. I told her flat out I didn't agree, that I think more and more every day that her god is pathetic and if she want's to be a slave to her religion(and she get's upset when you call it a religion) that that's fine, and since the medical directive is legally binding, yelling at her isn't going to do anything. But I wanted her to think about how many people she loved she was hurting by basically signing a suicide note if anything terrible were to happen to her. Immature. Yes. I should also mention she told me when I'd had a few drinks, she was hoping it would soften me up and I wouldn't get mad. I guess my little sister hit the wall when she told her.
But seriously, I think I hate this religion more then any other I've ever heard of or studied. I'm going to tell her today that I want a copy of the book of Jehovah, and I'm gonna read that damn thing cover to cover. Find all the holes that thier are, and then talk to her about it seriously. I've read the bible cover to cover, twice. This book shouldn't be too rough. If I remember it's bigger so it will take a little bit longer. Im tired of butting heads with her. I love my mum and we have never really fought. Not the teenage, door slamming angst you see in movies, not the snarky kids you see nowdays. But lately every time I see her we argue and I think I hurt her feelings. But EVERYTHING plays into her damn religion! Every discussion we have has at least five sentences that begin with 'did you know that Jehovah....'. She knows that I don't believe in it, he knows that I don't believe in anything. So I'm also hoping that by reading this damn thing that when she starts those sentences I can say 'I know all about your god, I read the manual'. I studied Egyptology because I found it interesting, and I would of liked to keep reading on it and looking into it, but I think it may be time to switch directions for awhile.
I just don't know how to deal with my mum lately. She want's to take Marlow to church. I didn't lie when I said that when Marlow wanted to find out about God I would take her. And if she wanted to find out about Buddah we would go look it up. Or if she wanted to be Wiccan I would be okay with it. Praise Allah? If that's what makes her happy. Faith is personal. But the thought of her becoming a Jehovah makes my stomach churn. And I feel terrible about it. I'm being religion discriminatory! I just told her that Marlow won't be going to church until she is old enough to ask, because if I let her go now, she will most likely be drawn to the religion she was raised with, not look around and see what suits her best. It seems to have kept her at bay right now, but I'm sure it will rise again.
