wanna hear something funny?

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.  Okay, I admit I want to laugh at this! I know that laughing at this may be completely immature and not conducive to my healing process, but it is what it is so here goes: Today, my H called me during his lunch break and said that a county sherrif's deputy came by his work and told him that he'd better come down to the station right after closing time and clear some things up.  But he wouldn't tell him what it was about.  Naturally, my H calls me and asks what I had said to the sherrif's dept.  I had said nothing--I had no idea what this was about.   So I called him after he got out of his interrogation this afternoon.  Here's where it gets funny: My H's affair happened under the encouraging eye of his then-best friend.  Since then, the two have gotten in a heated argument and split their ways.  (The argument wasn't about my H's affair--it was about his BF's constant drunkenness.) At the time of the affair, the BF even went as far as to give my H access to his ranch, which included a cabin, so my H and the OW could have their little rendevous.   Back to present day-- Apparently, the BF recently discovered that a huge amount of stuff has been stolen from his ranch (he doesn't live there.)  When questioned by the cops, he said that my H was the only other one with access to the entryway.  Lo and behold, the cops called my H into the station today and--get this--they took a DNA sample from him to see if they can find a match on anything out there!   I wanted to laugh so hard!  Of course his DNA is out there!  It's all over the bedsheets! As understanding as I tried to be, I couldn't help but smart off and say that to my H, along with "Bill Clinton" or something like that!  I don't know what it will amount to, but I'm sure they'll plenty of his DNA out there to work with!    Even though I have found my H to be a liar and a deceiver, I truly don't believe he took any of the stuff.  Obviously, it was big expensive stuff, or else why would they care enough to take his DNA?  It's not exactly like I've noticed him hauling around any deer stands that don't belong to him, but what do I know?  He was sure a master at hiding his A.   Nonetheless, this proves that when you sleep with dogs, you will get treated like one.  This was such a good 'friend' of his, one whose lifestyle and loose habits he was so anxious to adopt.  And now, look where this has lead him. Ahhhh...glad it's not me!

Hi Eagle mom! I know it\'s sad to say that I got a chuckle out of this, too! However, I went and talked to the investigator yesterday, and he doesn\'t believe that my H had anything to do with the burglary (as I don\'t either). It\'s just circumstantial...and funny. You are tight--I think it\'s God\'s way of punishing him! My kids and I are excited about Christmas. My shopping is done (yah!) and they will be spending Christmas eve at my in-laws, and then we will travel up to the panhandle to spend Christmas day with my parents. (Okay, so that part I\'m not so much looking forward to!) I have a friend who lives in Elk City, OK. We will probably go visit her the day after. All in all, I think it will be nice! What is your brood doing for Christmas?
