Walking to STOP HEROIN!

I DID IT! Finally met up with the walking group. Met lots of WONDERFUL people, got lot's of hugs and some good exercise. Walked 2 miles in this heat, of course all of my pics are of people's backs, because I was the last one. Thanks to Hank the dog, I walked with his owner and got to take mini breaks every time he did.  Thought that was pretty smart of me...Boy I'm out of shape, that's for sure. Thanks again to my new friends at Walking for Wellness: Stop Heroin, I had FUN and smiled more than I have in a long time.

Was so cool, when people drove by and waved to us, but what was really cool, the police, drove by and several of them turned the sirens and lights on as they passed us.  I knew Greg was with me, I even heard his favorite song playing on the radio when I first got there, the station was playing Zak Brown Band a Little Chicken Fried?  Greg's favorite song...

Love that you found a piece of happiness and peace...I believe without doubt, our loved ones visit to let us know they\'re doing just fine. We suffer their loss, but they live on forever. Your walk is very inspirational.. Hugs

I think it is great that you are walking. For me, exercise and getting outside are so healing. Being able to connect with other people while you walk is fantastic. I always feel like my Greg is saying \"Hi\" when I hear a favorite song of his...I LOVE it when that happens. Your Greg was with you on that walk for sure!!

What nice news to hear! I am glad you found people who understand your struggles but remember we are still here!

I giggled when you talk about the dog. I am out of shape too. I used to have a collie that lingered. She wasn\'t smelling everything, just didn\'t care for walks. Now I have an Italian Greyhound that when I walk all three, he is in the middle and the other two pull him. He stands his ground like a donkey.

Much love to you,
Leda
