waking up

I felt a sense of acceptance today of my illness and being in a like community having friendship

and for some reason, the sense of ownership of "working through stuff" daily is coming to me.

I have been struggling to manage today - well it's like every day 'sometimes sanity' and yet

I have had this sense of acceptance and like a separateness from my illness - like it's this thing that I

have power to accept or fight - accept or manage...

So here I am. I am sitting on the couch doing the routine of things that I do....and my emotions are coming

to a high tide...and I am realizing that I need to take a step back and decide what to do to manage.

I am realizing that exercise in this case is something I really need to do... I can feel the dark physical energy

fueling the waves of emotion.
It's just what I have to do. I will lift my dumb bells now. I just wanted to write about it.

peace and namaste!!

One of my mostest favoritest accountabilibuddies ever was in his 40's when we shared some of our healing respective journeys. A traffic accident made him a paraplegic at the age of 16. He taught me allot about taking ownership of my handicaps without letting them become part of my personal identity or the center of my universe. One line that popped a lightbulb for me was, "I own my car and take responsibility for anything that happens to or through it, but it is neither who nor what I am."

I still miss him. Rest in peace, respected Joe.
