Waiting for the workday to start
Getting ready to start work here.
I've got a good day of work ahead.
Things are going good.
Have a good day ahead!

Starting to think in terms of how I want to commune with society at large. I’d like to do something that achieves a little more respect. I’m also thinking about the effort I need to put into it in order to achieve my goal. I’m thinking about something Mark said to me about the US idea of success versus just living your life. Like in Europe. I’m thinking about how I’m relating to others. As if somehow I need to achieve some ultimate form of status for a sense of belonging. My mind can go there but it’s not reality, practical reality. Is my small goal for more respect still embraceable? Will it help me survive? Go for it! I tell myself!
I can do it and it’s worth it!! I’m worth it!!
Glad all is going well, Mark! Bruce Lee said, "Knowledge will give you power, but character respect," and you have a lot of character. Have a great day!
Good morning, Mark! Glad to hear that you're doing well!
In my opinion, status doesn't earn a person respect. There are CEOs of Fortune 500 companies who are despised, often because of how they treat their employees. The Bruce Lee quote Susan mentions summarizes this well. From reading your journal entries, I believe you always do your best to follow the Platinum Rule (treat others the way they want to be treated). Elevating people and their needs/concerns will help you earn the respect and sense of belonging you are seeking. You can elevate people at work, your friends and family, and those in need. It appears you're already doing a lot of that now, so just keep being you! : )
Enjoy your day! Hugs.
thanks so much susan and judy. you guys are amazing!!
