Waves
I don't know why I experience these waves of anxiety, but they come flooding up from my stomach at least five or six times a day. The rest of the day I'm just in some sort of crazy state of panic and worry. I try to keep it down though. My therapist gave excellent advice. My thinking pattern is shot she said!! lol!! She tells the truth.
Going to try fish oils again too. This time, stick to them!!
Lonely tonight for some reason. My kid went to bed early and I miss that boy! He gets on my nerves, but he makes me laugh at his nonsense rather than think of all the misery that sometimes gets all around me.
Well going to breathe as instructed by the therapist. Breathe in, and out........

That\'s good advice from your therapist. I read about it in a book about Mindfulness, lately, and it said that if your mind wanders away to worrying about the future or the past, just smile and focus back on your breathing. Do a scan of your body to see if any muscles in your tummy or jaw, etc, are tense, and focus on the smells and sounds around you, and tell yourself that you\'re safe in this place. It really helps. =)
Hate that your having these bad times, There are several sites on line that have free guided meditations on them. I have a ton of meditation CD\'s to try to help me relax but haven\'t tried them in a while. When Landon\'s at school and it\'s quit would be a good time to try it. I really hope the breathing helps. It might take a little while, at least it did for me and I never got very good with it. I\'m so jealous when I read all the posts about people deep breathing and meditating. Good luck with it! I need to do it too. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!
Thanks Mairead and hopeless1955!! I\'m working it!! Gotta be patient with myself!
Yep, one step at a time. Hope it goes well.
I agree with what was said... Funny thing is: I never wanted to do meditation... I didn\'t think I could calm my mind long enough to focus on anything... Now I do it every night before I go to bed... For me, I let words just flow in my mind... No matter the word, I acknowledge it and let it go... Then another word comes and another... When I am not on target with what my spirit is telling me and I try to inject a word, mostly unknowingly, I feel a little tightening in my stomach until I am back on track... That has helped me immensely... I am not fighting with my mind, it is like a flowing river... I was wrong... It really helped me...
Prayer is a type of meditation. Talking with God helps me. I know some people say, \"If you can\'t see it, it doesn\'t exist.\" but, that\'s not true. If your spirit feels it, who am I to argue. Prayer works wonders for me. Try it. You might like it. Have a conversation. He just might talk back!!
